House Hafner featured in The Australian over the weekend. The house, described by Michelle Singer as “sculptural and functional,” has been listed for auction on March 2
House Maher is featured in the Dec 15/Jan 16 issue of Belle magazine in a story by Jenna Reed Burns. The project was reshot for the story by photograper Nicholas Watt and is looking even better now that the clients have settled into their home over the last couple of years.

Tribe Studio teamed up with SDA Structures and took part in Leichhardt Rowing Club's annual Corporate Challenge. We made it through the 5am starts in the darkness to take out the number one place, undefeated on the day!
The shortlist for the 2015 IDEA Awards was released last week. Tribe studio is excited to again be listed for the Designer of the Year category, a title we won in 2013. Shortlisted projects include Eskimo, Apartment Healy King and House in Double Bay. You can view the complete shortlist on the IDEA website.
International design event, Sydney Indesign, will run from the 13-15 August. The event includes an exciting program of exhibitions, and installations as well as seminars, guest speakers, entertainment and workshops. You can view the full program here. Hannah Tribe will be speaking at the Jardan showroom on the 15th of August at 2pm alongside Koichi Takada and William Smart. Tickets to the talk, titled “Future of the Home: Models of Living in the Future”, are available to purchase online. Hannah is an official Ambassador of this year’s event.
Hannah Tribe is delighted to be speaking at the National Gallery of Australia as part of their 2015 Contemporary Architects Speaker Series. The series is presented by the ACT Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects and occurs annually on Wednesday evenings in September. Hannah is in good company, with fellow speakers from Charles Wright Architects, Elenberg Fraser and MAKE Architecture. Hannah’s lecture will be on the 30th of September and you can purchase tickets from the NGA website.
The winners of the Australian Institute of Architects’ NSW Architecture Awards were announced last week. We were pleases to find that House McBeath received a commendation in it’s category: Heritage - Creative Adaption. Last week, we received three DA consent notices from three different councils in one day! That’s got to be a record.
Tribe Studio has two projects shortlisted for the 2015 AIA Architecture Awards. House Boone Murray is listed in the Residential Architecture (Alterations and Additions) category and House McBeath has been listed in the Heritage (Creative Adaptation) category. We’ve just discovered that Tribe Studio has a couple of projects shortlisted for this year’s Houses Awards. House in Double Bay is shortlisted in the New House under 200m2 category while House McBeath is shortlisted for both Alterations and Additions under 200m2 and House in a Heritage Context. Thanks to our fantastic suppliers: Jardan, Cult, Koskela and Tait. They provided us with beautiful furniture, ceramics and accessories to use in this shoot.
